The features of functioning of the tourist market of Ukraine under the influence of globalization processes are investigated in the article. It is determined that today tour operators, travel agencies, travel bureau, tour agencies, bureau of realization of tourist-excursion vouchers, as commercial enterprises that work successfully on the tourist market. It is proved that the development of the modern tourism industry is under the influence of globalization processes, which determines the improvement of tourism infrastructure. These processes are accompanied by the creation of new types of tourist enterprises, such as Global Travel Services Booking Systems (GDS) and tourist clusters. Global tourist service booking systems are new type global enterprises, whose structure is based on maximizing using of the Internet, penetrating all business processes of the company. Creating GDS-booking systems has improved and accelerated the system of interaction between the supplier and consumer of travel services.

Chemistry for Sustainable Development 14 (2006) 345353 Nature of a Mechanically Stimulated Phase Change in Zirconia

Abstract Reasons for phase change in zirconia upon its intensive mechanical treatment in mills have been discussed. It has been demonstrated that when used steel balls and barrels, oxidation of wear products and their mechanochemical interaction with ZrO 2 occurs along with a decrease in the size of particles and crystallites. It has been found that implantation of cations of an extrinsic metal in the crystal lattice is favourable to the stabilization of a more symmetric modification and to an increase in the critical size of crystallites, above which the monoclinic modification becomes stable. A conclusion has been made that an increase in the contribution of superficial energy to the Gibbs energy plays domin ating part in the phase change on initial stages of mechanical treatment, while the thermodyn amic stability in the further process is controlled preferentially by a stabilising impact of impurity cations. Under conditions that prevent from pollution of ZrO 2 by metal, a dyn amic equilibrium is established between the forward change to tetragon al modification and the reverse, to monoclinic

HEART FAILURE, DIABETES, BETA-BLOCKERS AND RISK OF HYPOGLYCEMIA

Aim. To evaluate an influence of carvedilol on risk of hypoglycemia in patients with diabetes type 2 (D2) and chronic heart failure (CHF) treated with angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors.Material and methods. 13 patients (10 men, 3 women; aged 59,8±6,7 y.o.) with D2 and CHF caused by ischemic heart disease were included in the study. Before inclusion all patients were treated with ACE inhibitors and various beta-blockers (atenolol, metoprolol, bisoprolol). These beta-blockers were changed for carvedilol. Heart ultrasonography, blood pressure control, glycemia monitoring, HbA1c level determination were performed before, during and after carvedilol therapy.Results. Carvedilol reduces frequency and duration of hypoglycaemia episodes. There were not episodes of severe hypoglycaemia during carvedilol therapy.Conclusion. Carvedilol reduces risk of hypoglycemia when it is used in combination with ACE inhiditors in diabetic patients with CHF

Detection statistics of the RadioAstron AGN survey

The largest Key Science Program of the RadioAstron space VLBI mission is a survey of active galactic nuclei (AGN). The main goal of the survey is to measure and study the brightness of AGN cores in order to better understand the physics of their emission while taking interstellar scattering into consideration. In this paper we present detection statistics for observations on ground-space baselines of a complete sample of radio-strong AGN at the wavelengths of 18, 6, and 1.3 cm. Two-thirds of them are indeed detected by RadioAstron and are found to contain extremely compact, tens to hundreds of μas structures within their cores.Peer reviewe
